What Happens After the Shoot?

Short answer: first you get a selection gallery to pick your favourites from. Editing then usually takes one to two weeks, a little longer for weddings. The finished photos are delivered via an online gallery on Pixieset, where you can download them yourself — and which stays accessible later for reorders too.
Step 1: The selection gallery
Right after the shoot, you get every photo in a simple online gallery, where you pick your favourites at your own pace. At this stage the images are only base-optimised — the real, careful editing happens afterwards, specifically for the photos you've selected.
That's a real advantage for you: you don't have to decide anything on the day of the shoot itself, you can take your time at home and see which photos stay with you the longest.
Step 2: Editing time
Editing usually takes one to two weeks from when you make your selection. For weddings, where considerably more photos are taken, it can take a little longer — but we always talk about that in advance, so you know what to expect.
I deliberately don't rush edits to be super fast — I take exactly the time each photo needs to really feel like my warm, natural style. Quality comes before speed here.
Step 3: Delivery via Pixieset
I deliver the finished, edited photos via an online gallery on Pixieset. There you can view your photos in full resolution and download them yourself directly — no waiting for a USB stick, no email attachments hitting size limits.
The gallery is also easy to share with family and friends if you'd like — just one link, no separate login needed for everyone.
Step 4: Reordering is possible
Your gallery stays available for roughly a year after the shoot. That means if you later realise you'd like more photos from the shoot after all, you can simply reorder within that window instead of having to decide on everything right away.
That takes a lot of pressure off the first selection — at the start you really only need to pick your absolute favourites, and can add more later if the need comes up.
Why I designed the process this way
It matters to me that you never feel rushed after a shoot — not during the selection, and not afterwards either. That's why the selection window is generous, why you get every raw photo instead of just a pre-filtered handful, and why the gallery stays available for so long. In the end you should be holding exactly the photos that genuinely matter to you — not just the ones there happened to be time for.
If you get impatient while waiting for the edit: that's completely normal, I feel the same way about my own photos. Feel free to check in while you wait to hear how the editing is coming along — I'll give you an honest update rather than leaving you wondering.
